OFFPRICE looking for content editor

Description: Tarsus is an international business-to-business media group with interests in trade shows and exhibitions, conferences, education, publishing and online media. Tarsus is focused on developing a business that facilitates relationships between buyers and sellers, helping them to do business in their respective markets efficiently and profitably.

The OFFPRICE Show, the industry leading marketplace to source quality goods, in-season closeouts, and overproduced goods is looking to hire a CONTENT EDITOR.
Serving as the voice for OFFPRICE, this position will consistently bring high value content to all promotional and media platforms A clear understanding of SEO writing styling to optimize content is needed.
This is a part time, contracted position for 15-20 hours per week. Hours are flexible and can vary.
Other responsibilities include:

· Research and identify audience preferences, topics of interest to target audience and stay up to date with current trends.

· Researches and develops new content (written, audio, video, streaming) that feeds the OFFPRICE Show’s website and microsites, social media channels and provides opportunity for additional digital marketing initiatives.

· Work very closely with the marketing team to ensure that the program is effectively communicated in the marketing campaign. And also optimizes best practices for search engine optimization (SEO) to maximize effectiveness of webpages, blog stories and other digital assets.

· Researching and writing news and feature articles as well as blogs for the OFFPRICE Show website.

· Researching, editing and posting news articles to the website.

· Maintaining a social media presence while networking with attendees, exhibitors, social influencers, and prospective partners

· To educate the sales and marketing teams on key content that is applicable to all events and publications that OFFPRICE produces.

· Assists in the implementation of content management processes and strategies

· Creates and maintains web page meta tags, alt tags, and copy in support of search engine optimization efforts

· Review analytics, create reports, and adjust strategy as needed

Other responsibilities will also include supporting the OFFPRICE team onsite at OFFPRICE events including but not limited to customer relations and help desk support, assisting in operations activities and coordinating sales and marketing projects.

Required Skills & Experiences

· Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Interactive Media or related degree required.

· Minimum of 2 – 4 years of experience in communications, social media, journalism or digital marketing.

· Strong working knowledge of social media and social scheduling platforms

· Basic photography and/or video production/editing experience is strongly preferred.

· Experience working with web content management systems, such as WordPress, Drupal or Joomla.

· Knowledge of AP Style guidelines is a plus.

Compensation Status & Work Schedule

The position is part-time, on a contract basis, for 15-20 hours per week. Hours are flexible and can vary, so long as you can be available for messaging and Microsoft Teams calls during regular hours between 9am and 4pm Central time.
