Thermal Transfer ribbons - wax

The wax range AWR® / AWX® is an economical identification solution dedicated for «flat head» technology. Its main feature is that it can be used on a wide range of label materials and is suitable for both uncoated and coated papers.
The AWX®FH ribbon is particularly outstanding for its good resistance to smudge.
All our black wax ribbons are compliant with usual industry regulations such as food contact, heavy metals, TSCA, etc.

Thermal Transfer ribbons – wax/resin

The main features of APR®/APX® wax-resin range are the high quality of its performances and its wide field of applications. This range of ribbons gives excellent results on coated papers and synthetics. It has good resistance to smudge, is capable of printing barcodes at 90° and has sharp definition. The recent launch of our APX FH ribbon as set a new standard to the industry.

The products in the AXR® resin range are intended for extremely demanding applications. The ARMOR resin ribbon range is made up of high technology products that are particularly which make it particularly recommended for synthetic label materials.
These high performance products are highly resistant: resistant to smudge, resistant to high temperature, to solvents and to some detergents. Some are adapted for specific applications such as care labels for the textile industry.

With the “ electronic gear “ is able to move all the drums with web synchronised movements without having any mechanical and electronic connection. So, the printing equipment can be “putted in or taken out “ in any existing printing installation with no mechanical problems : you just need a plug for the power supply and a plug for the compressed air. All the essential data and commands are available on a portable colour touch screen display, that makes the operator able to work near the printing area. It is equipped with a register control device.

Timothy J. Walker, Converting Industry Expert, Educates on Tension Control at Delta Industrial’s Tec

Minneapolis, Minnesota - - Delta Industrial Services, Inc. unveiled several new process demonstrations
and hosted a variety of educational seminars during their Technology Showcase, which took place
March 31 – April 1, 2010. The two-day, customer-focused open house attracted over 120 visitors from
the United States, Canada, Mexico, Asia and the UK.

Delta, along with participation from key partners such as: 3M, Hewlett Packard, MGS Machine, LasX, International Financial Services, Innovize, Cognex, DMS Inc. and Rotometrics covered many aspects of web converting, packaging and finishing for digital print. The event kicked off with a welcome from Delta’s owner and president, Dave Schiebout, who discussed the Delta culture, which encourages innovation and teamwork in serving and providing the best solutions for our customers. Wendy Stromberg, Delta’s marketing manager and the MC of the event, discussed Delta’s dedication to confidentiality. The keynote speaker of the afternoon was converting industry expert, Timothy J. Walker. Walker discussed the importance of good tension control and uniform nipping. He also reviewed several best practices for measuring and maintaining contact tension control.

While the full speaking agenda was well received, the hands-on demonstrations helped customers fully grasp all the capabilities and flexibility that come from Delta solutions. Delta unveiled the Spectrum II finishing system, which provides huge benefits to the digital print finishing industry. Other demonstrations included Edge™ Laser Technology, which is perfect for cutting complex geometries, perforation and laser ablation. A Spectrum® Finishing System was set-up with a RotoMetrics "Multi Score" flex die to die-cut and score a custom carton which was designed by HP and printed on an HP Indigo, reflecting Delta’s dedication to Custom Engineering Solutions.

Medical, pharmaceutical and contract converters shared in the excitement with the Delta Mod-Tech® web converting system, running in-line with the Delta reciprocating heat-seal packager, teamed up with the MGS Vertical Counter/Stacker. The system ran a wound care product, which was then
heat-sealed in a foil pouch and stacked for cartoning. The combined system gave customers a good idea of the breadth of capabilities and integration possibilities you can have with a Delta machine.

Overall, attendees found this to be a very informative and exciting event. The speakers and the demonstrations both revealed the advantages of having Delta as a partner, who can give you the
edge you need.

Alpha & Alpha-Multi

VLS-650

The fully servo driven variable length sheet cutter VLS-650 is an in-line or offline variable sheet cutting, delivery and stacking solution.

It features two modes of operation, both set through the user friendly touch screen control panel:

• Fixed repeat – Desired cut length is entered and the length of each sheet remains constant
• On demand – The cut is triggered by an optical sensor reading a register mark

The VLS-650 allows for jumbo rolls of plain or pre-printed materials to be fed through, and converted to sheets resulting in a delivery of shingle or deep pile stacks. One of the many
features of this machine is that it allows a wide range of substrate types and thicknesses to be cut into variable lengths, on the fly, without the need to change the tooling.

Primarily designed to convert digitally printed web but can be run in-line with almost any web fed machinery, both on demand and fixed repeat.

Lambda

Developed through years of experience in the manufacture of value-added printing and converting machinery, the Edale Lambda has become the most flexible converting solution on the market.

The ‘plug & play’ technology allows almost any process or web path configuration which, when combined with Edale’s extensive inventory of special converting options, makes the Lambda the ultimate solution for any specialist converter. The Lambda enables the end user to change any sequence of modules or the position of any idler or winder, allowing for creativity and flexibility.

As customers’ demands change so can the method of production, meaning that investment in a Lambda is a low risk, future-proof and safe option.

Gamma

The Edale Gamma is a dual servo flexographic printing and converting system combining the finest print quality with innovative features ensuring high speed changeovers, minimum downtime and minimum wastage.

The Gamma features servo drives on each print head, providing pre-register, auto-register and print length control features. This, combined with the revolutionary print head design, ensures job change times and setup wastage are kept to a minimum with the ability to perform a print head colour change in under 1 min 30 seconds. The Gamma’s ‘Plug & Play’ converting section allows the user to swap in and out different converting, laminating, winding or printing options to facilitate the production of added-value products.

The so-called RF-LoopTag from NXP enables converters to manufacture UHF inlays or smart labels without the need for exact chip positioning.
