Footwear surpasses Womens as the Hot Product Category for 2010, According to Off Price Shows Interactive Floor Plan

The Quarterly Product Search Report on OffPriceShow.coms Interactive Floor Plan typically shows that womens as the most searched-for category. But the 4th Quarter 2009 Report lists footwear as the leader among categories.

From September 21 December 21, 2009, there were 1,566 product category searches made by buyers and merchandisers on the shows Interactive Floor Plan (fueled by Map Your Show). 9.8% of the searches were for footwear, followed by 5.93% for womens.

The rest of the top products searched for include childrens (5.87%), accessories (4.34%), mens (4.21%), branded (3.95%), denim (3.76%), handbags and licensed are tied at 3.70%, and girls, jewelry/watches and juniors are tied at 3.12%. In all there were 54 product categories searched.

"In 2010, we are looking to add more footwear. Flip flops have performed quite nicely for us this year, and we anticipate that they will do even better for next Spring, Summer and Fall. Theyre a big hit with the kids."
